Our weekly sewing classes offer a fun, creative, and hands-on learning environment for children and youth aged 5 and up.

Students of different ages and experience levels learn together, with each student working on individual projects and receiving personal guidance from Winnie.

From popular plush toys and doll clothes to accessories, bags, and wearable garments, students can explore a wide variety of projects ranging from beginner to advanced levels.

Through engaging projects and ongoing hands-on practice, students stay motivated, develop patience and creativity, and steadily improve their sewing skills over time.

Whether they simply love making things by hand or hope to pursue fashion design in the future, students can learn at their own pace, explore their interests, and continue challenging themselves as their skills grow.

How Our Classes Work

Our classes follow a project-based approach, allowing students to explore their interests while building practical sewing skills.

Each student works on their own project, with individual guidance from the teacher based on their experience, abilities, and learning goals.

Projects may include:

• Plush toys and doll clothes
• Tote bags, pouches, scrunchies, and organizers
• Seasonal and themed accessories
• Simple wearable garments, including T-shirts, pants, pajamas, and skirts

Please note: This is a sewing skills and project-based class, not a professional pattern drafting course. Clothing projects use existing patterns.

Tuesday

• Time: 3:30 PM – 5:00 PM (90 minutes)

• 10 sessions: January 5 – March 9

Saturday — Class 1

• Time: 9:30 AM – 10:45 AM (75 minutes)

• 10 sessions: January 9 – March 13

Saturday — Class 2

• Time: 11:00 AM – 12:15 PM (75 minutes)

• 10 sessions: January 9 – March 13

Sunday — Class 1

• Time: 9:30 AM – 10:45 AM (75 minutes)

• 10 sessions: January 10 – March 14

Sunday — Class 2

• Time: 11:00 AM – 12:15 PM (75 minutes)

• 10 sessions: January 10 – March 14

Tuition & Fees

• CAD $30 per class + 5% GST
• 10 classes per term: CAD $315, including GST

Accessories & Plush Toy Projects

All basic materials are included in the class fee. Students may bring their own fabrics if desired.

Simple Clothing Projects

For students interested in making wearable garments, an additional CAD $75 per term applies.

This additional fee covers fabrics, sewing notions (such as thread, elastic, and trims), and extra guidance.

Clothing projects may include:

• Sleepwear sets
• T-shirts
• Pants and shorts
• Skirts

Recommended for ages 9+ with basic sewing experience.

Students may bring their own fabrics if desired.

Studio Learning Environment

Students learn in a supportive, hands-on studio environment where creativity and individual progress are encouraged.

With a variety of projects and ongoing practice, students have the opportunity to develop their skills over time and discover new interests in sewing and design.

Important Notes

• Weekend classes run as scheduled, including long weekends, unless otherwise announced by the studio.
• Up to 2 makeup classes are permitted per semester, subject to the studio's makeup policy.
• No refunds, credits, or extensions are provided for missed classes or after the semester ends, subject to applicable legal requirements.
• A 5% sibling discount is available.

Registration Guidelines

• Please notify the studio at least 2 weeks before the semester starts if you are unable to attend. Eligible tuition may be credited toward future classes.
• Registration and payment are subject to the studio's terms and conditions.

Weekly Attendance Policy

• Please provide at least 24 hours' notice if a student will be absent.
• Missed classes may be made up up to 2 times per semester, subject to availability and studio policy.
• No refunds, credits, or extensions are provided for missed classes or after the semester ends, subject to applicable legal requirements.

Safety & Behaviour

• Minor injuries, such as needle pricks or small cuts, may occur during sewing activities.
• Students must follow studio safety instructions and remain in the studio unless given permission to leave.
• Disruptive or aggressive behaviour that compromises safety may result in a parent or guardian being asked to pick up the student. No refunds or credits will be provided in such cases, subject to applicable legal requirements.

Photo Permission

The studio may take photos of students' work and classroom activities for educational or promotional purposes on the studio website and social media platforms, including Red Book, Facebook, WeChat, and Instagram.

Parents or guardians who do not wish their child to appear in photos should email **winniesewingstudio@gmail.com**.

Registration Agreement

By registering, parents or guardians acknowledge and agree to the studio's stated terms, attendance policies, and safety guidelines, subject to applicable legal requirements.
